What I loved most and left a lasting impression is the love of the Kenya people. They were so open to our team and we're excited to have us interact with them, whether it was at the school or in the community. At the school, the children are so eager to learn and to please. They find joy in the smallest gestures, a smile from me, a wink, or just listening to them tell you about themselves. The teachers are so eager to learn new things and make sure the children remember what we have taught them from day to day. My favorite experiences were meeting my sponsored children Joy and Regina, going to their homes and meeting their moms, seeing Mary's tears of joy when I gave her a bible of her own and working with children at the school who had speech disorders. My prayer requests are that my daughters and I will get to go to the special needs classrooms to evaluate, set up therapy and train teachers and to tell the great news of Jesus' salvation.
