What a week!....Blessed to serve

What a blessing to get to share the Gospel with people living in ethnically diverse neighborhoods in Queens County, New York City last week! We left Blackhawk Ministries parking lot around 6:00 a.m. Sunday 6/20 and arrived in upper Manhattan about 7 p.m. (after about 90 minutes to travel the last 5 miles crossing the George Washington Bridge!). Once we finally got across the GWB we were in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Lin Manuel Miranda's "In The Heights" fame.

We pulled over to eat at a neighborhood Dominican restaurant before resuming the last 7 miles of our trip down the east side of Manhattan along the Harlem River, crossing the RFK (Robert Kennedy) Bridge into Queens County where we stayed at the NYC School of Urban Ministry in Astoria, NY.

After a good night's sleep our week of evangelism training/sharing began Monday. Our BHM team of 10 was joined by Pastor John Moser and Diana of The Ridge church in Fort Wayne for travel, accommodations, and street ministry.
